3rd September 2018

Dear Parent/Carer,

The St Thérèse of Lisieux Catholic Multi Academy Trust

It gives me great pleasure to write to you in my capacity as the Chief Executive Officer of the St Thérèse of Lisieux Catholic Multi Academy Trust. I feel privileged and humbled to have been appointed to the role but also, excited by the opportunity to work with you to shape and safeguard the future of Catholic education that will secure outstanding provision for both your child and the other 4000 young people across Lincolnshire and Rutland who attend our Catholic schools.

Since my appointment I have been working closely with the Headteachers of the sixteen Catholic schools, that have come together to form the St Thérèse of Lisieux Catholic Multi Academy Trust, to ensure we are ready to meet the challenges ahead.  We have agreed a mission statement for the CMAT which states our collective ambition:

‘A communion of high achieving Catholic schools where every person meets Jesus and grows uniquely in God’s love’.

As a family of schools we are all committed to working collaboratively, and in genuine partnership with parents and carers, to provide an outstanding education for all pupils that allows each one of them to achieve their potential academically, develop personally and grow spiritually. As CEO I am committed to working with and through the Headteacher of each school, to sustain and improve further the quality of provision that will allow all pupils to be the best they can be, able to contribute to society and to the common good.

I have been able to visit almost all schools since I began my role as CEO on the 1st July 2018. In each of the schools I have been warmly welcomed and have had the opportunity to observe personally the good and outstanding provision that is a feature of all our schools and importantly, gain an understanding of what makes each of schools unique and the school of choice for you and your child.

As a family of Catholic schools we will retain the distinctive character of each school but will seek every opportunity to collaborate effectively to strengthen both the Catholic Life of our schools and the quality of education we offer and, as a part of the St Thérèse of Lisieux Catholic Multi Academy Trust, no school will find itself isolated or unsupported.

Practically, you and your child will not notice any real change in your daily school experience. Your Headteacher remains the leader of the school and your first point of contact for all school related matters. The school name, mission statement, uniform etc will not change. I do hope, however, that by joining the CMAT your child’s school experience is enhanced with new opportunities to learn, worship and play alongside pupils from other CMAT schools.

I am genuinely excited about the opportunities the creation of the new trust presents and am very much looking forward to working on your behalf in service of our children and young people.

Yours sincerely,

Louise Wilson

Chief Executive Officer

The St Thérèse of Lisieux Catholic Multi Academy Trust
