As part of the Schools Games Mark we provide every child with the opportunity to compete in sporting events.
Throughout the year, we sign up to lots of fun inter-school competitions.
All KS2 children have been given a school skipping rope, with the challenge to train daily at break times to better their skipping skills for our 'Jump Rope for Heart' fundraising event for the British Heart Foundation charity.
CAFOD is a charity close to our school's heart. This year, we will be raising money to support them with our football themed fundraising day - What's Your Goal?
In the summer, we host Sports Day for which the children 'Race for Life' to support the charity Cancer Research UK.
We run a Fitness Week with the key aim to educate the children about the importance of healthy lifestyles, promoting a love for nutritious food and exercise for life!
Additionally, we will be running intra-school competitions every half term, with the focus coinciding with the P.E lessons taught throughout that half term. Our aim is to provide these competitions in order to raise the profile of sport in school and encourage team work within the school houses.
